What a busy weekend we had! Matt and I had a little home improvement fever...so we loaded up Micah and headed to Loews for some house projects we've been wanting to do for a while. The first project we wanted to do was to paint one of our walls an accent color...sage. It turned out really nice. It is a lot of work to paint though.
Bedroom...
We also had been wanting to do some type of backsplash in the kitchen as well as add hardware. I actually did the backsplash alone...its a nice brown/red color.
That is the finished product. If you look close you can see we haven't done the drawers yet. We still have to drill a little bit bigger holes. I should say Matt...not we. :)
I just need take a minute to brag about my wonderful husband. Two nights ago, I was exhausted and not wanting to clean up the dinner mess I had made. Lazily, which honestly has only happened the number of fingers I have on my hand...I went to bed leaving the mess. As I woke up bright and early with my little man I find the kitchen clean! Not only clean, but the sinks bleached, dishes done and baby toys put away! He did it again last night too! Such a blessing to have such a caring husband!
Now its time for me to share a bit about my Micah. So this week I finally decided that Micah has officially outgrown his baby tub. I was nervous at first because he isn't very good at saving himself if he falls. However, he did so super! I wish I could attach a video and show you how much he enjoys bath. I seriously should wear a poncho when bathing him. All he does is SPLASH SPLASH SPLASH with both hands and occasionally pick up a toy and play without soaking his mommy. Here's a picture of Micah on his 2nd night of the big boy bath.
Micah
Micah is now sitting indefinitely unless he gets super tired and will fuss to lay down or just lay down on his own. I'm always right there, because the floor and that big sweet head don't mix.
Last night we experimented with putting Micah's knees under his belly. This was always something he never tolerated and didn't have the strength to do. Although, he did it yesterday momentarily. He was on all fours and it was hard for him, but he did it! Then this morning I can see him trying to pull a knee under his belly! So fun to see this growth. We're loving it!
One last pic of me and my blue eyed sweetie!
